We all know the drill: it's another lazy summer day and you don't have anything to do. Instead of getting active and creating an activity for yourself, you take the easy way out and decide to sit at home watching TV, using the computer, or simply doing nothing. Occasionally, you will get that pit in your stomach because you know you should be out and about on such a nice summer day....
Well don't just sit there nodding your head in guilty agreement! Get up and get moving!

2) Jump Rope. This sounds simple, but trust me when I say that it gets tiring after a short amount of time! Jumping rope is extremely good for your body since it works so may different things. It is especially great cardio exercise. On a steamy July day, this might not sound too appealing, but jumping rope for just five minutes is a great way to get moving. If the heat is just too much, you can even jump rope indoors if you can find a big enough area (without any breakable items nearby!). |
3) Go for a bike ride! Even when it's hot, biking will give you a cool breeze and a great workout. You can simply bike around the neighborhood, on a trail, or maybe to a nearby ice cream shop or 7/11 for a refreshing reward!
4) Play outdoor games with family members or friends. Bring out the Slip n' Slide, draw a hopscotch game with chalk, set up the sprinkler, make some water balloons, bring the Twister board outside, or just play a good game of hide and seek! Playing outside with friends and family is an amazing way to get fresh air and have a good laugh! |
Go get moving!
